    39 high-performance milling centers with central filtration and chip disposal system

    20.000 liters of emulsion per minute to 10 µm - central systems from Lehmann-UMT make the impossible possible. The system reliably filters aluminum chips down to 10 µm from the emulsion. The good filter result and the dry filter cake enable the customer to melt the chips down again, recycle them and thus protect the environment.

    Increasing sustainability and reducing the CO2 footprint in filtration during grinding

    In agile cooperation with a customer, Lehmann-UMT planned a sustainable cutting oil treatment system for the filtration of cooling lubricants used in the production of processing machines and precision tools.

    The principle of multi-stage filtration was used to achieve the specified objectives. For this purpose, around 80 % of the grinding sludge as well as corundum and grinding wheel binders were already removed from the process in the first filter stage using an endless belt filter.

A project for more sustainability

In cooperation with it´s Portuguese partner Leal & Soares S.A., Lehmann-UMT realised a complex project with the aim of expanding production capacities and optimising existing processes.

 

Die Firma Leal & Soares S.A. wurde 1995 gegründet und ist das größte Erdenwerk in Portugal, welches gleichzeitig ein eigenes Säge- und Kompost-Werk besitzt. Hauptsächlich stellt das Unternehmen torffreie und -reduzierte Erden für den Profi- und Hobby-Landschaftsgartenbau her. „Wir setzen schon von Anfang an auf Torfersatzstoffe. Weit über 50 % unseres Sortiments an Erden sind torffrei seit mehr als 10 Jahren.“ – erklärt Herr Nestler, der Leiter der Forschungs- und Entwicklungsabteilung von der Leal & Soers S.A..

    Central cooling lubricant filter system plus chip conveyor

    Designed using compact filter technology, this was based on the requirement to filter 5000 liters of emulsion per minute and deliver it to the machines via supply pumps. We developed a compact filter module specifically for this purpose in our special production. This filter is designed for the filtration of oil, water, emulsion and solutions in a small space.

Bioextruder turns straw into gold

With the help of Bioextrusion by Lehmann-UMT, a wide variety of substrates such as straw, by-products or solid manure can be used cost-effectively and sustainably for biogas production.
