    The precoat filter enables the most difficult applications in ultra-fine filtration, even with highly blocking particles. The system consists of the StingR® automatic filter and in most cases uses cellulose as an additional filter aid.

    The precoat filter enables the filtration of particles down to 2 µm and produces a dry filter cake, which acts as an additional filter layer and further improves the filter results.

Properties

The contaminated process medium enters a dirt tank where it is enriched with a filter aid. Due to defined carrier particles, agglomerates are formed from precoatings and small particles, which have a filterable size. With the aid of a pump, the contaminated medium is allowed to flow into the StingR® drain from below. Relatively large-pored filter elements are used in the unit, where the agglomerates are deposited as filter cake. The cleaned medium reaches the inside of the filter, is discharged there and is either collected in a clean tank or sent directly to the processing machine via a high-pressure line.

The entire StingR® system has an electrical and pneumatic control system. If a filter element is contaminated, this is detected fully automatically by the differential pressure sensor and a backwash of the system is triggered.

The backwashing process takes place via a patented pneumatic-hydraulic system. The dirt is separated from the residual liquid in a separator, leaving behind a filter cake with low residual moisture.
