    The belt skimmer is a particularly energy-efficient system that uses energy naturally occurring in the environment (adhesion forces) to filter out floating oils from the cooling lubricant, significantly extending its service life. The floating tramp oils and dirt particles are effectively captured and removed by adhesion forces thanks to the system's special belt design.

    Foreign oils, floating dirt and grease lead to contamination of the aqueous cooling lubricant and the formation of oil films on the surface. This in turn leads to oxygen no longer reaching the cooling lubricant in sufficient quantities, causing biological processes to become excessively active. The result is fermentation and thus a drastic reduction in the service life of the cooling lubricant. This is where the belt skimmer comes to the rescue: the special belt structure of the system effectively captures floating tramp oils and dirt particles through adhesion forces and removes them from the system.

Properties

The belt skimmer consists of an electric motor that is powered by 220V or high voltage current. A special rubberized belt runs over the motor shaft, the underside of which hangs in the tank.

The motor sets the plastic belt in motion, causing the floating foreign oils to adhere.

The belt is cycled at intervals using a timer, thus preventing the carry-over of cooling lubricants. The adhering oils are discharged at a mechanical separator and thus removed from the process.

The system is made of stainless steel, which makes it extremely durable and corrosion-resistant. Thanks to the easily accessible components, it is easy to clean and particularly maintenance-friendly.

The belt skimmer can be retrofitted to existing systems. A coalescence separator tank can also be supplied, in which the discharged water/oil mixture is separated. The cleaned cooling lubricant flows back into the system, while only the tramp oil remains in the coalescence separator.
