In cooperation with Statista, a leading global statistics portal, the news magazine Focus has announced Germany’s 2018 growth champions – and they include Lehmann-UMT GmbH from Pöhl. The machine manufacturer is the only business from the Vogtland region to join the ranks of companies with the strongest growth in sales between 2013 and 2016.
As part of the Industry Prize 2016, the USF Edge + from Lehmann-UMT won the Best of 2016 award. The well-known award is more than a trophy. It singles out particularly progressive industrial products and solutions that are driving forward the value-added chain in German industry, making it fit for a successful future. The economic, social, ecological and technological benefits of the submitted solution are appraised. Awards are given to the most progressive products in 14 different categories.
With inventive talent, we have been designing, developing and producing systems and plants in the engineering business for more than 70 years. This achievement and our commitment to the region are recognised by nominations and awards, including for the Saxony State Prize, the Industry Prize and others.
Lehmann-UMT GmbH successfully reached the jury stage in the "Großer Preis des Mittelstandes", a prize for SMEs awarded by the Oskar-Patzelt-Stiftung. In this competition, ground-breaking small and medium enterprises are nominated for the award each year.
Companies are evaluated according to the following 5 criteria:
• Overall development of the company
• Creation/safeguarding of jobs and apprenticeships
• Modernisation and innovation
• Commitment to the region
• Service and customer proximity, marketing
The prize winners and finalists are selected by twelve specialist juries and a final jury. In reaching the jury stage, Lehmann-UMT has achieved the second of three stages.
The negative pressure suction filter USF developed by Lehmann-UMT and designed by WOLFRAM Design/Engineering, Dresden was one of the 39 products nominated for the Saxony State Prize for design 2012 out of 300 submissions.
